About Sherryn

Sherryn is a journalist and producer from Melbourne currently based in The Canberra Times newsroom, with experience across print, broadcast and digital media.

Previously, Sherryn has worked as a reporter at Australian Teacher Magazine, a sub-editor at Cosmos Magazine and written for The Age, The Guardian Australia, the ABC, Broadsheet Melbourne, Overland and Crikey. She has covered events from the Australian Open to TEDxSydney live on the ground.

In 2015, Sherryn completed a Graduate Diploma of Journalism at RMIT University with distinction while working as a journalist for Hijacked.

Her creative writing has found its way into Voiceworks, ABC Radio National’s Life Matters, the Castlemaine State Festival line up and, a little surprisingly, the Geriatric Medicine curriculum at the University of Melbourne.
